Blog Hunting

This blog, Blacksheep Speaks, went straight to the point in the title of the post..”So, you’re a Christian. Now what?“. Many new Christians will want to read this. It’s insightful. Apparently listening to Churchspeak does not do the trick. The blogger points out that many times you get all the “don’ts” and not many of the “do’s”. Some churches will give you a list of what you must give up.

What I really liked was that the blogger showed that we need to have a “Spiritual Baptism”. That brings with it a total change. At that point, you will begin to receive an understanding that you never had before. For more on this and many other subjects, take a peek at Blacksheep Speaks!

Last year, I ran across this particular t-shirt outfit because I was looking specifically for Christian t-shirts for a present for my husband. What I found was a really great site with really great products. What I am talking about is Christianwear.net. This online store has good prices plus free shipping.

Have you ever wanted to do your own version of the Star Trek Transporter Effect somewhere? Now it is very possible! I just saw a video on doing just that!! It was an awesome effect on the television shows and in the movies. But now, you can do it too!

A relatively new blog called One Man’s Focus is here to give you all sorts of tips and “how to” information on photography and making videos and movies. He does a great job of showing a shutterly challenged person like me how to get the best picture with the available equipment. I found it to be interesting and indepth. I am shamelessly promoting my bro-in-law’s blog here called The (Other) End of the Internet because I like the pictures he took of the recent tornado that ripped through our county. Incidentally, he was IN the tornado so I thought that people would like to see the pictures he took of that…including the van he was in when he went riding in the air.

He also enjoys blogging about many other things in his life. I found his blog to be interesting and informative. One of my favorites on his blog is the “Separated At Birth” pictures that he collects. The latest on that subject was actually a couple of screen shots of rooms that were on the television series, Star Trek: The Next Generation. They do seem to be peculiarly similar for aliens. Others that he pictured included Ben Vereen, Luciano Pavaratti, Hillary Clinton and others. No, those didn’t match but they did have doubles.

I have toured the blog site of Divine Caroline a few times now. She is giving us a number of tips for various things like parenting, travel, money saving tips and so on. But now, she is throwing open the mystery door on the ingredients for Twinkies.

This is difficult for me because I love the things. Those have been with me since I can remember and that’s quite a while. I remember them back in the fifties, if that helps. They were always the snack food of choice. But somewhere along the line someone got a little off course on what goes into those previously nice snack foods.

Divine Caroline points out the nasty side of the snack food with her observations of the primary ingredients including several that come from ROCKS!! Yes, that’s what I said. Oil fields, gypsum mines, phosphate mines, natural gas all bring something to the beloved product. Believe me, there is more to discover about this snack food, once thought to be close to the perfect snack food product. I can tell you that we will no longer be buying Twinkies until they change the ingredients in their product.

Here I am on a brand new blog! For some time now, I have done a review of a blog here and there. I thought it was time that I simply got myself together and put a blog up about reviews of blogs! Now doesn’t that seem like the right thing to do? I thought so too.

So, here for your consideration is my Blog Hunting blog. Okay, that was lame but what is there to say about blogging about blogs? I will give my best assessment of the blog as I see it. Granted, that does not mean the blog is necessarily top quality or the worst thing ever. I am giving you my opinion on it, period.

Hey, once in a while, I might blog for payment but I really doubt that you will see the difference. You might. I will have links in most of my posts. Once in a while, I will run across a blog so bad that the only way I will link to it is if someone puts a firearm to my head. If they are so bad that I do not want to link to it, then I will give you the title and you can do the work. I am not giving the bad ones the link love that they want. No way.

For now, I will find and review either a blog or a page from a blog, something that fascinates me or caught my attention for some reason. I think you will find cats, dogs and food in here a lot! But I do have a lot of other interests too!! Yes, I really do!! I just can’t think of them right now. Sigh.
