This blog belongs to a friend of mine. I know she would love for you to see it. Her blog is called “Two Ton Tilly“. She has an excellent sense of humor not always seen in blogs these days. Her point of view is quite interesting as she tells you about cops behind her, about reading in this country and about ladies of courage.
The post that draws me to this blog most is one about ladies with Courage. She talks about four people who are dealing with various problems in a way that I hope I would should a problem of that nature arise. They are courageous just as the post title implies. One lady is dealing with a child only 5 years old with a disease that is going to be fatal before she is 12 years old. How does one deal with such things. Courageously.
Another lady has fibromyalgia, meaning she is in constant pain. Another lady is dealing with cancer. She is in her 30s. And the last lady is having family problems, as in stealing all she has, killing her pets and is ill. How do these ladies deal with these problems? With courage.
I invite you to read her blog, especially the post on Courage. She has humor, seriousness, fun. She has a couple of cats. That should say it all.

I am actually not as into coffee as my husband is so this post is going to be more in the area of reviewing the blog and the post on it. Tinfoil Chef is a relatively new blog that is showing “how to” posts for those of us who cannot get a clue about cooking or mixing things together. In the most recent post, Chocolate Mint Coffee, which sounds delicious no matter who you are, he gives a very simple recipe for putting coffee and chocolate and mint together in a most pleasing way.
It is obvious, however, that he is not limited to coffee in the things posted on this blog. He tells us in the title that he is giving us the 411 about cooking and food. I, for one, could use it. A Basic Roux help is awesome since lots of people have no idea what a roux is. For first time cooking, this is a great way to get started.
Beyond those tips, the blog has ideas on how to use a knife safely, gives tips on the latest appliances for the kitchen, tips on eating out, food prep and storage and so much more that you will simply have to visit Tinfoil Chef to get a better idea of what is there.
And by the way, yes, I am shamelessly promoting my husband’s blog!!! So sue me. Ah well, don’t actually SUE me, just enjoy the blog!
This is my Technorati Profile.

Searching for a blog to talk about today, I ran across one that is called SoftFreebie which has free software downloads. Yes, we are definitely watching cautiously these days because you never know when some bug is going to infect your computer. But this particular blog has some terrific free software to show you.
The first thing I saw was a download for ZoneAlarm. Now, I do realize that this is not the top of the line firewall but it IS a good one. I know because I use this one myself. I happen to believe that we do need a good firewall. SoftFreebie tells you about the subject, what it can do and gives you the download link.
In addition to ZoneAlarm, they also give you other possible firewall programs to use. I found this blog to be informative, easy to use and up-to-date! I really liked them because they presented the information so that people could easily understand it, something that I totally appreciate. There are far more of us challenged people than there are the techies.

The blog I am telling you about is frank and straight forward. I really love this one. Everyday Randomness has a post about UPS and their new “no left turn” rule. They go into detail concerning the rule and how it affects them. To be honest, I found the rule as silly as this blogger does. They did a follow up post after contacting UPS which is just as revealing.
In other posts, the blogger tells us about email scams which will possibly affect us all. But they are not limited to exposing the truth about corporations and other problems like the scams. They also talk about giveaways, writing projects, friends and many other topics. This blog is very interesting and informative. I recommend Everyday Randomness to everyone.

This blog, Homeschool Zoo Annex , comes from a homeschooling Mom who seems to have it all together. I found her to be informative, giving information for other homeschoolers to find good deals on schooling materials, deals and bargains. Sounds great to me.
She has posts on a variety of subjects including a science blog that will help the kids. I will probably do a review of that blog soon too! And there is a good bit of information on auctions as well. Of course, being a SAHM, she is savvy to the type of shopping one has to do with kids. And there is a post on coin collecting. This is an all around blog that is worth the read!

Having run across this blog, I have to talk about it at least a little bit. My husband is able to build and maintain a PC. He has done so a few times. On the other hand, I am a complete klutz when it comes to such things. I am computerly challenged. Oh, I can do a download, upload and such things but to put together a PC…not really going there. At least I wasn’t, until now.
I found this great blog, The Hardware Reviews, that has the basic instructions WITH PICTURES!!! on how to build a PC for yourself. You get a step by step guideline to assembling the various individual parts. (No matter what, I would have leftovers!!) And with a little help by way of the net to get definitions of the words used, you are on your way to having a beautiful machine up and running in no time. Now is a great time to go to “How To Assemble And Build A PC” and get the info you need. This is a keeper!
