If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting! I have to admit that I had this particular blog bookmarked long before I was writing this blog. Some of the pictures are so awesome that I had to go back and see them again. Now do not blink. The name of the blog is “-Flickzzz-” and I am pretty sure that they have some of the best pictures I have seen in quite a while.
Of course, I do have a favorite page from that blog too. And I am reaching waaaay back in the blog to November 23rd, 2007, to get to a page that is all about taking a snooze, cat style. I loved those pics so much. They needed to rerun right here. But you can see fantastic pictures of setting suns, a stuck kitty, a beach littered with waste (not as pleasant but certainly life), a beautiful beach, legos and soldiers, a picture of a bride and groom in China as the earthquake hit and much more. It is a great blog. Go check it out for yourself.

In my other life (blog) when I am not sitting on a lily pad and making strange noises, I love to read movie reviews, especially if I plan on seeing it someday. Of course, it isn’t hard to find a movie review but the idea is to find one that makes sense and isn’t always glowing but can be trusted. That’s sometimes hard to find but I do believe that I did see one tonight.
At Movie Reviews by FAQs, the first review I saw was for the new Indiana Jones movie. We are so wanting to see that one!! After all, we do have the others and I think they waited long enough to do the thing. I do have to say that the reviewer is less than impressed with the action of the movie and the actors. I do happen to be a fan of Harrison Ford and it does not please me to see that this reviewer states that the acting is (and I quote) “Same as it ever was. Only now with a cane and bifocals.” That was good for a laugh no matter what you think of the movie.
The blog is quite good. I wasn’t as pleased with the review but I have a feeling that this particular movie might just not be up to the usual standards, unless of course, the reviewer doesn’t like Indiana Jones movies in the first place.

For a long while now, I have been interested in scrapbooking. I have seen a number of really good scrapbook memories. At some point, I will get into this wonderful way of preserving the memories of days gone by. The only thing that holds me back right now is that I do not have the time nor do I have the supplies but some day soon I will.
Now people are doing the same thing by scrapbooking online. It’s very interesting to see because of the impact on a person who reads the stories. A scrapbooking blog that I recently visited is giving a Memorial Day tribute to our soldiers currently in uniform and those from the past who will not be forgotten. Memorial Day quotes gives us many quotes to give tribute to the fallen and those serving today.
I was most impressed with Scramories blog where you can find a new contest, wonderful pictures and memories from their family but also a tribute to Mother’s Day and Moms everywhere. She uses Stumble quite effectively and gave us a look at the zoo. I recommend this blog highly and hope you like it as much as I do.

Christian blogs are something that I particularly like to go to and read because they have so much information that I do not possess. There is always something new to learn. I want to be a sponge when it comes to the Word of God. Our Walk In The Word is one such place. I think you will like it. And I should mention that I am shamelessly promoting my husband’s Christian teaching blog but I think it will give you something to think about.
The latest lesson is about the Mark of the Beast. He shows us the scripture that defines the mark of the beast and then goes on to give the world’s idea of what that might be. After that, he gives his own idea of the mark, in this case, an RFID chip. Personally, I find RFID chips and GPS tracking to be dangerous to people. Certainly they will be when we must be hidden from the authorities much like the Jewish people had to be during the Hitler reign of terror.
This post is rather extensive and detailed concerning this particular subject. I think you will find it interesting at the very least. I recommend this blog and especially the post concerning what the mark of the beast actually is. It makes you think!!!

I love to search for good blogs and blogs that have unique things. One such blog is called “Geek Mom Mashup“. The actual reason I checked this one out was because I am a Star Wars fan. Love the movies and love the stuff they have out there. But I had never seen this particular item until I read the blog post on it.
In a post called “R2-D2 is as cold as Hoth“, we learn about an R2-D2 ice bucket with ice trays that make “Han Solo in carbonite” ice cubes! Now, is a diehard Star Wars fan going to like that? Of course they are. Not only is Star Wars featured but other things as well like Battlestar Galactica cakes. In other posts, there are handmade plush action figures, Disney robot toys and much more. I recommend this blog for all sorts of good information on products and fun things.

First, you had to know my grandmother. She was a very knowledgeable lady when it came to cooking. At least, she knew the things it took to have a nice meal without spending an arm and a leg. After all, she was born and grew up in the hills of Kentucky where you made everything yourself because if you didn’t, you didn’t have it. And she was raising a family during the great depression when it was so difficult to have anything let alone raise a family. With a husband and 4 kids to feed, she had to be inventive, to say the least.
So, when I ran across a blog that had How To Cook Like Your Grandmother in the title, I just had to take a peek at it. I was impressed. Although I did not see many of my grandmother’s recipes on there I did see many that I am very interested in. Many of the old grandmothers have kept their secrets and gone on. And it’s almost a lost art to bake and cook from scratch anymore. This blog takes us back to the basics and I love it!!!
The first thing I saw yesterday was a recipe for How To Make Chili Sauce For Chili Dogs. Simple thing really but not all of us know how to make that unless it comes from a can. ACK! Now I like to make my own sauces when possible. I hate getting things from a can. This blog is teaching how to do such things. Today, I saw how to cut lettuce correctly. And baked potatoes!!! With TOPPINGS!! Oh yes! The great part is that if you do not know how to do this or, if you are like me, directions can be confusing even if they’re plain as paste, you can still follow the recipe because they have put up pictures to follow along.
This blog is a fantastic find especially for you beginning cooks. Getting back to the basics is something of an art and we are losing that art form. I recommend this blog to anyone who is looking to learn to cook or just to get a new recipe!

Here is a guy who is documenting the changes in his life as he heads toward his goal weight. When I went to his blog, the first thing I noticed was the really good looking dog on the front page called Puppy picture. I really liked that dog. This already seemed like a friendly blog to me. I love pets, cats or dogs. And she is a dog they rescued from a shelter!!! I love it! That impressed me right away.
The second blog post was extremely interesting to me because he was talking about the bad meal of the day. He wanted to document it in the hopes of watching what he eats more diligently. I did agree that his meal choice was too much. The tuna alone….ack! Well, a prejudice here, I don’t like tuna all that much. I would have ordered the prime rib or the chicken with all the trimmings and, yes, a 12 inch sub instead of a 6 inch. I would have fallen into the same trap as he did. And I need to lose weight too.
The blog? John Is Fit, My Journey From Fat To Fit. I must say that I am very impressed with his candor on the subject. So many people want to put the weight issue under wraps. He listed the reasons why he fell for the big sub. So, his bad meal of the day was a tuna sub, big one. One more thing. If you like contests, he has one. He has a contest to give away a new bike.
I really liked this blog. I recommend it to anyone who is struggling to lose weight.

The first thing I have to tell you is that I love pizza at Pizza Hut. And I love the other things they are doing too like the pasta that they have for $11.99. And recently, there was a blog that I noticed that loved it as much as I do. So, I read the post on that blog that was all about Pizza Hut Tuscani Pasta. It’s a new deal at Pizza Hut. But of course, I have to get past the idea of something from there besides the pizza! By the way, at the blog I mentioned, there is this absolutely yummy picture of the Meaty Marinara Pasta from Pizza Hut.
Love Lisa Reviews! Besides letting us know about good things at Pizza Hut, she also reviews a variety of other blogs and websites. This is a great source for information. Not only did I learn more about the pasta, I also found out more about a game that she has played, a really good recipe blog she reviewed, a tv show or two and a product review. All of this is on the front page! Hey, isn’t it time to step on over to Lisa Reviews and take a good look around. You will be glad you did!

I ran across this blog that actually seems to uplift people with their wonderful lists of things that the owner of the blog is grateful for each day. I have to tell you that May 7th must have truly been a good day since they have put up the list for that day and included dancing veggies. They are so cute! Where is this wonderful posting place? The blog is called “Things I’m Grateful For“.
In many of the lists, a good night’s sleep is listed right near or at the top. Boy, I would love to have that one! Many other things are mentioned like things bought at an online auction place have shown up at the door. That’s like Christmas! Dreams are discussed too. The author is willing to tell much about their life and their day. This is a wonderful, folksy blog that many will enjoy. I found it to be uplifting and funny. I just love the dancing veggies! So much fun. It made my day brighter. Hope it does the same thing for you.
